The LHA's Public Relations & Marketing Constituency Group provides a forum where hospital PR/marketing professionals can network, share best practices, and discuss emerging issues facing the industry (i.e. pricing and transparency issues, telling the hospital story by “Redefining the H,” legal issues regarding social media, local media stories, state budget issues that impact patient access and services, etc.); identify resources useful to that constituency, which are not readily available elsewhere; provide professional development opportunities; and allow for input and feedback on pro-hospital industry PR strategies.

Golden Pelican Awards:
Each year, the LHA sponsors the Pelican Awards to recognize excellence in hospital marketing and public relations.
Call for Entries
The President’s Award, Lagniappe Award, Practitioner of the Year Awards, and Team of the Year Award recognize excellence in individuals and teams who advance the sound principles of ccommunications, marketing, and public relations within the hospital field.
